Super League (PSL) 2022 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

It was one of the most gripping contests in PSL history as both teams were unwilling to give up till the very end of their do-or-die match.

Shadab Khan was dismissed for 14, and Liam Dawson for 12 runs. By this point, Lahore had put United under the pump and was in the driver’s seat. (PSL) 2022

Azam Khan and Alex Hales then scored 79 runs together to give United a fighting chance. United appeared to have the game in their hands as they were hitting boundaries and rotating the strike.

An incredible fielding effort brought Lahore back into the game when Hales cut the ball while taking a single and Rauf’s direct hit sent Azam back for 40 off 28 balls with two sixes and three fours.

Azam was also removed by Kamran Ghulam after an excellent jumping catch from Rauf’s bowling, who was on target today.

Asif Ali was also given a reprieve during this topsy-turvy match as Shaheen dismissed him but overstepped. After hitting a six, Asif was then dismissed by Rauf for 25 runs when United were eight runs behind.

With Wasim on strike, eight runs were needed in the last over, and David Wiese held his nerve.

Lahore reached the final as Wiese took the final wicket to take Lahore through to the final after a heartbreaking match.

With regards to bowling for Lahore,

Rauf had 2-21 in 4 overs, Shaheen had 2-32 in 4 overs, Zaman had two, and Wiese had one.

Lahore fell to two sixes and a four in Wiese’s last over to leave United with a 169-run target while batting first.
