In this week’s Pakistan Super League, Jason Roy talks about his match-winning hundred
Quetta Gladiators aggressive batter Jason Roy believes his team will win the next five games this season.
As Gladiators prepare to take on Islamabad United in the 18th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL),
Ray, who scored a century against Lahore Qalandars, spoke on the PSL’s official Twitter account about his match-winning knock and Quetta’s plans for the key matches to come.
“I scored some runs in my first game. It was exciting. As he said, “we have five big games coming up after our hundred against Lahore Qalandars.”.
Roy explained Quetta’s plans and the dressing room environment: “You have to take each game as it comes. To reach the final four, we must win some games and build momentum. There’s always a lot of motivation. Whatever the team’s position in the table, it matters not. We want to win every game. The guys are working hard and the backroom staff is doing a fantastic job.”
Roy believes it’s up to the players to keep striving and win the next crucial games if Gladiators are to remain in the hunt.
The players have won two games out of five, and we know it’s not good enough. We have to take it game by game, work hard, and hopefully get rewarded,” he said.
As the PSL has proved to be a great platform for budding cricketers, many young players have emerged.
